'The Audio Perv' Calls It a Day

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 16, 2012

If you watch video content here at Exclaim.ca, chances are that you've frequently seen us link back to The Audio Perv, a blog and news site that's been particularly great at documenting and sharing live performances from late-night television. Sadly, that website is now closing up shop.

In a statement posted today (November 16), it was revealed that the site is winding down and will be completely finished by the end of the year. The statement reads, "Yep, this website/constant pain in TV show music bookers/music blog will be coming to an end. No, it's not your fault. Seriously, stop blaming yourself! It had to happen eventually. We will be okay and so will you."

In other words, it sounds like this a graceful and consensual bow-out rather than a going-out-of-business disaster. There may still be some final updates, but these will not stretch into 2013.

The Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts may still be kept active, but the website itself will be shut. The archives, which date back to 2008, may or may not remain online.

Best wishes to The Audio Perv in all their future endeavours, and a big thanks for all the great videos.
