Astro, The Astronomical Kid, one of the only laudable artists to pass through the populous belly of The X Factor unscathed. Before emerging on the Yonge-Dundas stage he spent eight hours in a cramped sweaty car with, as he put it, "some musty individuals." Apparently unfazed by the stale journey, Astro brought verve to the platform, first delving into his club-friendly tracks with "Yes I Know My G" leading the pack. While Astro works well with this kind of production, he's much more suited to a subtle beat, where his clever lyricism isn't shadowed by a looming rhythm. Enter the jazzy tones of "He Fell Off," a track that finally allowed the sun-drenched crowd to see Astro at his best. This, coupled with a sit-down version of rap lament "Lisa" and an impeccable freestyle at the crowd's behest, shot Astro's set clear of the atmosphere.
