Psychedelic popster Ariel Pink may have lost the Haunted Graffiti moniker, but he's plowing full steam ahead with his latest record pom pom.
The record isn't due out until November 18 (via 4AD), but the Los Angeles music maker has unveiled a brand new video for lead single "Put Your Number in My Phone." We previously described the track as a "gorgeously woozy ditty," while the clip itself is a bit more cringe-worthy.
It sees Ariel Pink take a trip to the mall in a teal cowboy hat and matching fur coat, making stops with a friend at the arcade and food court, but striking out with the pretty ladies. According to director Grant Singer, "It's a story about friendship and the pursuit of happiness. Joe Buck and Ratso Rizzo dream of life outside the sea of vacant storefronts and lonesome chattel on display in middle America."
