Arcade Fire recently wrapped up the final shows of their Reflektor tour, but frontman Win Butler isn't about to start sitting on his hands. Rather, he's announced a Toronto show under his DJ alias, DJ Windows 98.
The show will take place at Coda on September 23. A press release calls this "intimate gig" a "rare opportunity to see Arcade Fire's frontman behind the turntables." Tickets cost $15 plus service charges and are available here.
This Toronto gig will take place just a few days after DJ Windows 98 performs at Pop Montreal with LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy. That appearance is for the after-party of his Pop vs. Jock charity basketball game on September 20.
Butler has performed at DJ Windows 98 a few times before — he launched a Twitter account earlier this year — but he's kept a fairy low profile, so we're not entirely sure what to expect from the set. Given his previous choice comments about EDM, we're guessing that he won't be relying on too many bass drops and house beats.
