A$AP Rocky Sued by Concertgoer After Stage Dive Injury

While he avoided some assault charges thanks to a technicality last year, A$AP Rocky is once again facing legal action from a fan who claims she was injured by the artist.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, a 21-year-old woman named Tia Butts sustained injuries at an A$AP Rocky concert at Chicago's House of Blues in May 2012, and her legal team filed a lawsuit earlier this month in Cook County Circuit Court.

Butts is seeking upwards of $50,000 from the incident, but here's where things get a little murky — she can't remember which performer landed on her in a stage dive. As such, she's named A$AP Rocky and opener Been Trill in the lawsuit, alongside House of Blues, Live Nation, Ticketmaster and RSV Gallery, LLC.

Her lawyer Jonathan Schlack said that no one should expect to be injured at a rap show. "I don't think that is a foreseeable risk," he said. "Who is to say a hip-hop concert has to be more aggressive than, say, a performance at the Civic Opera House? Why should a performance be any different?"
