Andrew W.K. Announces Canadian Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 7, 2014

Hard-partying, Party Bible-writing jack of all trades Andrew W.K. is apparently looking to get wet up north this spring, having announced a quick Canadian tour.

W.K. revealed his travel plans earlier this week, explaining that he'll be heading into Canada for a handful of intimate club performances. The trek is modelled after his recent "Party Messiah" tour, a trip that eschewed a full-band performance to instead have the artist ripping through his back catalogue for a "full-blast but up-close-and-personal rock'n'roll solo style." This apparently employs a keyboard, a drum machine and microphone too.

Cities the good-times guru will hit this March include Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax and St. John's. If you're looking to party hard with Andrew W.K., potentially until you puke, you can check out the show specifics down below, as well as some live footage from the "Party Messiah" tour caught in California last year.

"I'm truly excited and terrified of what will happen at these shows," W.K. said in a statement. "We selected very special and very tight venues - places we might not normally play because this tour is designed for maximum chaos and to put us in the closest proximity to the party abyss!"

Tour dates:

03/25 Toronto, ON - The Hard Luck Bar

03/26 Montreal, QC - Foufounes Electriques

03/27 Ottawa, ON - Mavericks

03/28 Halifax, NS - The Marquee Club

03/29 St. John's, NL - CLB Armouries
