Some 15 years after first enchanting late '90s emo kids, American Football have delivered a new, sentimental music video for their recently reissued self-titled LP's opening cut, "Never Meant."
The vid plays out via a nostalgic look at the relationship of a young couple who meet up at a record store and quickly become "best friends and better halves." We see them head to some parties together and discover the time-chronicling joys of a vintage Polaroid camera, but eventually they fall out of love. Depending on your mood, it might wreck your heart, but the clip tries not to be, as Mike Kinsella would croon, "ohhh-ver-leeeee dramatic."
You can check out the life-goes-on narrative of the clip down below.
The American Football reissue is out now via Polyvinyl Records.
