Amnesia Rockfest Chronicled with New Documentary

We recently learned that a porno was filmed at Montebello, QC's Amensia Rockfest, but here's a film about the successful Canadian festival that's a little more appropriate for the whole family. The annual event is the subject of a new documentary film called Montebello Rock Village: The Story of Rockfest.

The film has been in the works since 2010, and it celebrates the 10th anniversary of Amnesia Rockfest (which has been running since 2005). The doc doesn't yet have firm release details, but it will arrive in theatres in the fall.

According to a press release, "The film will tell the unique story of the event, from its modest beginnings with 500 festival-goers to present-day, now the largest rock festival in Canada." More than 200 bands will appear in the flick. It will also touch on the festival's ill-fated 2013 edition.

In the newly unveiled trailer (which can be seen below), we can see members of Bad Religion, the Offspring, Pennywise, Korn, NOFX and Lagwagon. It also sheds some light on how founder Alex Martel started Rockfest at the age of 17.

Meanwhile, the fest is set to return for its 2015 instalment from June 18 to 21. Performers include Linkin Park, System of a Down, Snoop Dogg, Pixies, Slayer, Deftones, the Offspring, Bad Religion and more.
