Amadou & Mariam Recruit Nick Zinner, Santigold, Theophilus London for 'Folila'

Malian worldbeat duo Amadou & Mariam have announced their next album, and like their last effort, the guest-heavy Remixes, the upcoming platter will feature a number of big name collaborators, including members of Yeah Yeah Yeahs and TV on the Radio.

Folila, which is the proper studio follow-up to 2008's Welcome to Mali, will be released April 10 through Nonesuch/Because Music and was produced by Marc-Antoine Moreau. The album also features appearances from hip-hop weirdo Theophilus London ("Nebe Miri"), TV on the Radio ("Wily Kataso") and is said to feature a few contributions from Malian music vet Bassekou Kouyate.

As previously reported, Santigold and Yeah Yeah Yeahs six-stringer Nick Zinner also contribute to the album, and you can check out a stream of their collaborative track "Dougou Badia" over at Pitchfork. On top of appearing on Folila, Nonesuch will also deliver the track on a four-song single on January 24. You can check out the rest of the info, as well as an teaser vid for new song "Oh Amadou," down below.
