After a reunion with the Unicorns, Alden Penner is capping off his busy 2014 with a demos EP called JUNE 04. It officially drops tomorrow (December 16), and it can be heard in full right now.
As the title suggests, the recordings on JUNE 04 were recorded a decade ago this past June. Since they're demos, they're a little rough around the edges, with background hiss and simple arrangements of acoustic guitar, percussion and recorder. "Bad Heart" has a ramshackle pre-roll, which is something the Unicorns used to be fond of back in the day.
