Agalloch

'The Serpent & the Sphere' (album stream)

Portland's Agalloch are on the campaign trail behind their next full-length,The Serpent & the Sphere, with the moody metalheads now previewing the entirety of the LP online ahead of its May 13 due date through Profound Lore. You can stream the whole set now.

We'd already been privy to centrepiece "Celestial Effigy," flirting with folk, black metal and more. Now, through NPR, you can sample the melange of menacing, slow-mo beats, whispered musings and shamanic "ahhs" of "Birth and Death of the Pillars of Creation," the hard-swung, double-kick-driven black metal lesson "The Astral Dialogue" and more.

As previously reported, Agalloch will be taking their new tunes out on the "Serpens in Culmination" tour, with Canadian dates scheduled in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal later this month. You'll find the show specifics here.
