Adele

"Hello" (ft. Jimmy Fallon and the Roots) (performance video)

Adele wowed television audiences with a performance of "Water Under the Bridge" on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, and now footage of the singer pairing up with the host and his trusty house band the Roots to perform "Hello" has emerged.

Even if you thought the song had been done to death after this weekend's Saturday Night Live performance and sketch, former SNL cast member Fallon and the Roots manage to breathe some new life into it thanks to an orchestra of classroom instruments. Xylophones, banana-shaped shakers and tiny hand-clapping tools courtesy of Questlove give the song an adorable makeover. Adele even gets in on the childish prop game with a toy cellphone.

UPDATE (11/25, 11 a.m. EST): Keeping it in the NBC family, Adele jumped over to the Today studio set to perform another track off 25 this morning. Watch her deliver an acoustic performance of "A Million Years Ago" below, as well.
