It was quite the year for AC/DC. The iconic rockers returned with their latest album Rock or Bust, but also grappled with the ailing health of Malcolm Young and the legal drama surrounding drummer Phil Rudd.
In the new year, however, they'll be looking to the past, as a new documentary and biopic about late frontman Bon Scott are in the works.
The documentary is titled Looking for Bon and will be narrated by David O'Hara (The Tudors, The Departed). It will focus on the Scott's life from 1970 to 1974, and according to producer Shemori BoShae [via Billboard], "The purpose of the documentary is to chronicle what was a very creative period for Bon from 1970 to 1974 and give the viewer an insight into a very creative period of Bon's life and to enlighten all on just how great a singer he was before he joined AC/DC."
A new biopic is also currently in production, based on a script by Vince Lovegrove (who played with Scott in the Valentines during the '60s) and Angela Anagnostopoulos. The film will focus on Scott's years as a member of AC/DC.
The AC/DC singer famously died on February 19, 1980, having choked to death on his own vomit after sleeping through the night in a friend's car.
