Listen to GBH's Perfume and Piss Now on Exclaim.ca
All of that will change on April 6, however, as the British brigade will release their tenth studio effort Perfume and Piss for the raucous masses. Making things even better, you lucky folks can hear the record now in its entirety on Exclaim.ca.
Simply, click here to begin streaming GBH's latest in its entirety.
An explosive albeit catchy assault steeped in their traditional hard rock drive and upbeat spirit, Perfume and Piss is another account of GBH's indelible influence on the current state of punk rock. One need only glance passingly at the aesthetics, poppiness and guttural prowess of acts such as Rancid, the Casualties and any other liberty-spiked, studded leather-clad squeegee punk band to see how GBH have helped shaped the genre.
Moreover, Perfume and Piss finds the quartet finally garnering some long-overdue praise. Not only is it one of their finest moments in a 30-year-plus career with arguably few low spots, but as their first with Hellcat Records, they are finally backed by a bona fide label capable of offering them the support they deserve yet have soldiered on without for ages.
In essence, Perfume and Piss shows GBH at the exact same spot they've always maintained musically: tight, energetic, hungry and incredibly influential. However, they finally have the resources to ensure it's actually heard for a change.
Perfume and Piss will be streaming on Exclaim.ca until April 5.
