Paul Feig's forthcoming Ghostbusters film is soldiering on and set for release on July 22, 2016. That's not the only thing in the works from the franchise, however, as Sony is reportedly eyeing an animated feature film as well.
As Variety reports, sources have confirmed that Sony Pictures Animation is developing a cartoon Ghostbusters movie with Ivan Reitman. Reitman will produce through his Montecito Picture Company.
Other than that, details are scarce about the upcoming animated project.
