Siouxsie Sioux and Brian Reitzell

"Love Crime"

It's been a long time coming for goth and post-punk fans, but this weekend's series finale of Hannibal was capped with a brand new single from the iconic Siouxsie Sioux. The track, her first new material in eight years, is called "Love Crime," and it's streaming online right now.

The song was co-written with Hannibal composer Brian Reitzell, who reached out to Sioux as a huge fan looking for a helping hand. Together, the pair have produced a grim but gorgeous number full of atmospheric strings, drum machine decay, and Sioux's musings over the changing of seasons, as well as all manners of things "anatomical/metaphysical."

"So sublime, a taste to end all time," she sings at one point, this itself being a fitting farewell to Hannibal.

Reitzell told Entertainment Weekly that there could be even more music arriving from him and Sioux.

"I've written a few more, and we're not sure how we're going to release the track, and that's kind of unfortunate, but it will be out," he said. "We'll get it out there somehow, soon."

Sioux's last formal release was her 2007 solo album, Mantaray.
