Jooj

"Ghost of Love"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished May 5, 2015

Sook-Yin Lee and Adam Litovitz have teamed up under the collaborative moniker of Jooj, and they'll be releasing their self-titled debut album later this month. Before it officially arrives, though, Exclaim! has got the premiere of a brand new tune titled "Ghost of Love."

The album adheres to a mantra of "minimalism, melody, and experimentalism," delivering 10 original, experimental and expressionistic tracks that originated from a score Lee wrote to one of her photo exhibitions.

"Music is the one expression that can tap into my soul," said Lee in a statement about the project. "Working on this album with Adam in our private studio without distraction was like planting a beautiful garden together. It was a liberating and deep experience. We let our imaginations run free and I'm thankful to Last Gang for releasing our curiosity into the world."

"Ghost of Love" delivers whimsical soundscapes, gentle acoustic plucking and Lee's haunting, crystalline vocals. The full album is due out on May 26 through Last Gang, but you can scroll past Jooj's upcoming shows to listen to "Ghost of Love" in the player below, right now.
