Former Underoath Frontman Dallas Taylor Has a Role in 'Joe Dirt 2'

Dallas Taylor was the original frontman of Florida Christian metalcore legends Underoath, performing on their albums Acts of DepressionCries of the Past and The Changing of Times. The times have changed indeed, as Taylor has lined up a potentially depressing acting gig with a role in Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser.

According to the needless David Spade sequel's IMDb page, Taylor has signed on to play the part of someone named Lucky Louie. Taylor's not the only musician signed on for this sure-to-be-dreadful flick. Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath has also signed on to play the role of Jimmy.

Dallas Taylor's actually got a surprisingly busy acting schedule. Last year, he appeared in the TV mini-series Blood Type and the film The Black Rider: Revelation Road. After Joe Dirt 2, he'll appear in a theological horror film called The Possession Experiment.

If you can stomach it, watch the Joe Dirt 2 trailer before. Alternately, you could watch a clean cut Dallas Taylor shred his vocal chords in the video for Underoath's "When the Sun Sleeps."
