Even if they had to build their own Oscar, The Lego Movie was both a critical and commercial success. As such, we're probably going to be seeing those barefoot-destroying playing blocks onscreen for years to come. The next Lego-related project is a new documentary called Beyond the Brick.
Subtitled A Lego Brickumentary, the trailer builds it up as an uplifting look into the creative lives of Lego's biggest fans. Though it touches on a brief history of the company, it looks like the film will mostly focus on the various elaborate creations of the company's devoted fandom.
The film was directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmakers Daniel Junge (Saving Face) and Kief Davidson (Open Heart). It's also narrated by Jason Bateman, who is animated as a Lego minifig. Watch the trailer below.
